Can nature and humanity flourish (growth, thrive) simultaneously (at the same time)?

Nowadays, it's normal for human beings to consume natural resources and therefore they consume it in huge amounts. Day by day, the loss of biodiversity is carried on. In my opinion, I think that nature and humanity can flourish simultaneously but it will take a very long time and also it will require a lot of effort. To achieve it, human beings should determine it and also they needed some of the sacrifice such as using less papers, which will cause lesser deforestation. People might think like 'How can it be helped if I am the only one who's saving the environment?' and they will give up easily but I think they are wrong because little by little, they will stop the loss of biodiversity and at last it will be a big change. In conclusion, people should raise more awareness in order for the future generation to keep the biodiversity.

My Weekend nutrition intake

Weekend Nutrition Intake

Weekday Nutrition intake

Nutrition intake on the weekends:
Basically, I take nutrition with balance. First of all, the last picture shows that my calories reached the normal unit of calories. I take ample amount of nutrition because on the third picture, the green numbers, it shows that i have enough nutritions in my body. Those with red font color, they show that i am a little bit lack of it. On the second picture, part with green, is the amount of fat i take. It shows that my diet is balanced. It's lucky that I don't overtake food and keep my diet balanced.

Nutrition intake on the weekdays:
I don't think there's a big difference of my nutrition intake between weekend and weekdays. The Calories intake, it is a little bit lesser than weekends but I still take enough of calories. The food I intake on the weekdays, there are more green numbers than on the weekends. I think, the most accurate amount of nutrition I intake on weekdays is Vitamin C. This is because I can see that the number of Vitamin C i take in is the most closest to 100.

Conclusion:
In my opinion, I have a balanced diet. In comparison, I take lesser calories in weekdays because during the weekdays, I sometimes skip meals due to homework and other works, and in school, I have narrower choice of food because I don't like some of the foods they provide. During the weekends, I take three meals a day and my mom cooks healthier food for me such as more vegetables and fruits.

Health in the News: Stress, Depression & Suicide

Marie Osmond's Son's Death Spotlights Teen Suicide

The death of Marie Osmond's 18-year-old son, Michael Blosil, who took his life last Friday after struggling with depression for years, highlights teen suicide in the United States.

Suicide is the third-leading cause of death among older teenagers in America, according to the National Institutes of Mental Health, and boys are four times more at risk than girls.

Family therapist Terry Real, the author of "I Don't Want to Talk About It: Overcoming the Secret Legacy of Male Depression," said any time something like this happens, "it just makes you shake your head. ... It's very hard to predict.

"We know from research that girls tend to turn things inward ... boys and men both tend to turn things outward," Real said. "So you look at not the depression per se, but the things the kid is doing to get away from it: Drugs and alcohol, acting out, along with feeling depressed."

Blosil, who was a first-year student at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, jumped to his death from his high-rise apartment building in downtown Los Angeles. On the site where he died, people created an impromptu floral tribute just a short walk from the school where he was said to be majoring in apparel manufacturing.

Online reports that Blosil sent a text message to a female friend before taking his life and left a suicide note in which he referred to a lifelong battle with depression remain unconfirmed.

Blosil was one of Marie Osmond's eight children, and one of five whom the star had adopted.

In a statement to ABC News, Osmond said, "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time."

In 2007, the year his mother and father, Brian Blosil, were divorced, Michael Blosil entered rehab as his mother reluctantly confirmed on the talk show "Larry King Live."

"It's really hard," she told King. "My son is amazing. He's dealing with a lot. He's one of my kids. He's dealing with adoption issues, all kinds of things right now.

He is the most amazing kid," she said, tearing up. "It's been a painful year."

"I think with a teenager you're looking at any real radical changes of behavior," he said. "Changes in sleep, either more or less, in food, changes obviously in mood, loss of interest, difficulty concentrating. They feel depressed. They tell you they're depressed."

He said that while it can be difficult to differentiate between normal moodiness in teenagers and depression, but there are signs parents can look for.

  • Summary
This article is about a celebrity's child committing suicide by jumping off the apartment after having depression for years. This depression could have been by family issues such as parents divorcing. It shows that committing suicide is the third most kind of death in USA. It also tells that males commit more suicide than females because girls show emotions and expressions (crying) but males have it with them and try to solve it by taking drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and many more.
  • Big Meaning
This article pictures the reasons and facts about teen suicide. The reasons are depressions over family issues, relationship issues, education and many more. People especially the teenagers try to solve it mostly by themselves. This can be somehow stupid but they cut themselves to relief stress they receive, take drugs, alcohols and cigarettes and lastly to hang themselves to commit suicide. some of the things we can see if a teen is stressed of depressed is by looking at changes in sleep, either more or less, in food, changes obviously in mood, loss of interest and difficulty concentrating.
  • Personal meaning
In my opinion, committing suicide because of depression and stress is a bad way to solve their problems. For a second, people might think that when then die, everything will be peaceful, BUT I think it is a bad idea because think of the people around you who cares for you! and committing suicide means you being gone forever. If we just don't listen to our heart for a second, we can live. There are so many ways to overcome these stress and depression. The ways are: doing something what you like, such as sports or hobbies, and getting a relaxed time for you to think of it and realizing that it's not a big deal. I would greatly like to advise people planning for a commit suicide to overcome this period of time and they will be happy.
